Overnight Oat Recipe

Hey you guys I'm finally writing out a detailed recipe for my overnight oats! This is the recipe that I get asked about the most so here it finally is.

My pet peeve for when I click on a recipe in a blog and they tell me their whole life story in it when we all know that everyone just skips to the recipe anyways so I'll save you the skipping and get right to it.

For the Base:

  • 1/2 cup dry rolled oats

  • 3/4 cup milk of choice (I use oat milk)

  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed

  • 1 1/2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 tbsp greek yogurt

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Toppings: (topping combinations)

  • Banana, strawberry, walnuts, and coconut flakes

  • Blueberry, blackberry, and pumpkin seeds

  • Strawberry, blackberry, and almonds

Instructions:

Add all of the base ingredients together into a mason jar or other container. I like the wide mouth taller mason jars so I have room to stir and eat them in the morning. Stir all of the ingredients together until it is smooth. The mixture should be slightly watery, the chia seeds will absorb more water overnight. If the consistency is more like a paste, add more of your milk. After your base is all mixed add your toppings of choice, seal the container and set in the fridge overnight and you're ready to go.



These keep for 5 days in the fridge. When you're ready to eat them I use a little drizzle of agave or honey depending on what I have on hand to sweeten it up a little bit. Enjoy!
